Building a Foundation
At Bhardwaj Law, we share a belief that a good foundation in the principal areas of the law, together with extensive knowledge in areas of particular interest, is the best way to serve clients whose situations often involve different areas of the law at the same time. As a result of this shared belief, our student program fully involves students in all of the facets of the practice of law.
The Student Experience
At our firm, a student’s articling experience will include file and practice management, interviewing clients and witnesses, planning and assisting in the conduct of matters before various courts and administrative tribunals, fact investigation, problem analysis, and legal research, developing writing and drafting skills, negotiations, and advocacy. The firm strongly believes that to benefit from a meaningful and rewarding student experience, a student should not only be presented with problems to identify and solve but should also participate in the implementation of the solutions and see the results of his or her work. A student may look forward to receiving considerable responsibility and challenge throughout the articling program, including the opportunity to work on files through a series of stages and to have direct client contact.
There is no pyramid structure at Bhardwaj Law PC. All of the firm’s lawyers of all levels of experience working directly with the students, providing instruction, professional guidance, and advice. The size of the firm and the firm’s open and collegial atmosphere encourages interaction among all lawyers and students in the firm. Our firm values the new and creative perspectives our students contribute to a file.
The student program is supervised by a partner who meets regularly with each student throughout the student program to monitor his/her progress and provide constructive feedback.
In addition to developing legal competence and confidence, the student program provides an opportunity for and encourages participation in the firm’s social and recreational activities.

Applications will be accepted for the 2024/2025 Articling Student Program on or before Friday, November 28, 2023 at 5:00 pm. Please provide a cover letter, resume, law school and undergraduate transcripts, and letters of reference in one complete .pdf file, sent to Info@bblaw.ca
